Amish broccoli salad

I don't remember where I found this recipe, probably on Facebook, it is a keeper. I made this salad to go with our Christmas dinner. Everyone enjoyed it. I loved the texture and having a different, veggie salad to go along with the fruit salad.

1 head broccoli, chopped 1 head cauliflower, chopped 1 cup mayonnaise 1 cup sour cream 1/2 cup sugar- can use substitute as well 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 pound bacon, fried and crumbled 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

Directions Step-By-Step

Chop broccoli & cauliflower. Fry bacon and crumble it and save some to sprinkle on top. Shred the cheese saving some to sprinkle on top. In a bowl, combine the sugar, salt, add the rest of the ingredients and mix until well combined. Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon on top and chill salad for about 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to mingle.
