Great-Grandmom Kratz Macaroni Shrimp Salad

- 1/2 lb
- elbow macaroni (or your choice. wagon wheel pasta looks cute!)
- 2 can(s)
- medium shrimp, mostly drained
- 1 medium
- onion, chopped
- 2 stick
- celery, chopped
1Boil the pasta according to package directions, adding salt to the water in the pot. Drain. Add to a large bowl.
2Open both cans of shrimp. Take 1/2 of a can and mash the shrimp to release more flavor. Then add ALL shrimp to the pasta.
3Add the onion, celery, pepper & enough mayonnaise to get a nice creamy coating on the pasta. Then add a little extra. (Some of the mayo will be absorbed into the pasta and you don't want it to be too dry)
4Cover & refrigerate, preferrable overnight to let the flavors blend.
