Grilled Romaine Hearts
I saw this method several years ago and decided to give it a whirl. It has been a staple since and lends itself to as many variations as you can imagine.

- romaine hearts
- 2 Tbsp
- olive oil
- black pepper, freshly ground
1Slice romaine hearts lengthwise, brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
2Grill over high heat, cut side down until slightly charred and wilted.
3Serve with your favorite dressing or garnish with blue cheese, bacon bits and fresh chives.
