German Cucumber Salad
My mother used to make this salad for summertime parties at our house. It is even better made the day before, then stirred and served at dinnertime. It's so easy to make and soooo delicious.
1peel and slice the cucumbers in thin slices
2In a medium bowl mix heavy cream, lemon juice and sugar (or splenda) in that order. The mixture will thicken with the addition of the lemon juice and sugar.
3Add the cucumber slices and mix well. Taste! if too tart, add more sugar, if too sweet, add more lemon juice. Enjoy! Don't eat too much, this dish is very rich and not for the faint hearted:)
