I TOOK A TRIED AND TRUE PUFF PASTRY RECIPE AND ADDED BEER AND CAME UP WITH THIS! MY FAMILY LOVES THEM!

Ingredients

1/2 c
shortening
1/8 tsp
salt
1 c
boiling beer
1 c
all purpose flour

eggs

Directions Step-By-Step

PREHEAT OVEN TO 450 F. In medium saucepan combine beer, shortening and salt and heat until mixture boils. Reduce heat, add flour all at one time and stir as hard and fast as you can :-) vigorously until mixuter forms a ball. Remove from heat and add eggs one at a time beating thoroughly after each egg. Continue beating until mixte is thick and glossy and breaks away from the spoon.

With an ice cream scoop spoon mixture onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake until golden brown and sound hollow when taped. Continue to check at this point. Times and oven temps vary.

Cool slice and fill with your favorite egg salad, tuna salad or chicken salad recipe
