She said it is an old Czechoslovakian recipe that her family has made for years. When I saw it, I had to try it and LOVED it as did everyone else at the party.
It's one of those that, had I read the recipe, I would never have tried. The mix of ingredients just does not sound good to me, but it is delicious!
Her recipe called for spanish peanuts, but she substituted chopped walnuts. I did try it with the peanuts and didn't care for it that way.

- 1 bunch
- broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces
- 1/2 medium
- purple onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb
- bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 6 to 8 oz
- chopped walnuts
- 1 c
- golden raisins
- 1 c
- miracle whip
- 1/4 c
- 3 Tbsp
1Mix the first five ingredients well. Mix dressing ingredients well with a wire whisk and pour over salad. Toss to coat.
