Amish Ham Salad

Kim Biegacki

When it comes to ham salad this is top of the list for me....I love this version and ever since I tried some at a local Amish store I had to learn how to make it. It is a simple recipe and can be seasoned up if you want. I have altered a recipe I found in an Amish newspaper and my main addition is the horsey sauce, which I love.

My 16 yr old nephew Rhyan just loved his ham salad sammie today. I hope you enjoy it too.

1Shredding the baby swiss cheese, chop the ham and rinse/drain the sauerkraut really well. I usually squeeze the kraut with my hands to get the most liquid out as possible.

6I used my Grammie's Homemade Mayonnaise recipe for this and it paired well with the ham and swiss.
