Grandma Cleveland's Jello Salad Topper

- whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp
- powered sugar
1Mix flour, sugar and salt together well. Put egg yoke and one cup of fruit juice in separate bowl mix well and then add to flour mixture in a 1 qt cooking pan add the ½ cube of butter or margarine and cook over low heat (very important to keep stirring while mixture cooks). This mixture will become very thick and you do not want to scorch it.
2Beat egg white until stiff and stir into cooked mixture.
3Before serving let cool and then, beat whipping cream until it holds shape while mixing add 1 tablespoon powder sugar, and then mix in with cooked mixture.
4You then have a fruit salad topping for Jell-O fruit salad or just a regular fruit salad. Grandma had used this recipe since about the 1930’s. Excellent
