Recipe For Popovers
Heavily butter 8 six ounce custard cups.
Place on baking sheet for easy handling.
Slide into hot oven to heat while mixing batter.
Add remaining ingredients.
Beat briskly 1/2 minute, scrape beater and sides of bowl, beat 1/2 minute longer.
Batter will be creamy smooth and rather thin.
Bake in a hot oven (400 F) for 50 minutes, or until popped, crisp, and golden brown.
Do not peek during baking, for they may fall.
Serve hot with butter (or margarine) and jam.
