Ingredients

2 C Cold mashed potatoes
1 Egg (beaten)
1/4 C Finely chopped onion
1/4 C Finely chopped celery
1/2 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper
2 Tbs Butter (or margarine) melted

Step-By-Step

1In a medium size mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, beaten egg, onion, celery, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Measure about 1/3 cup of the potato mixture into a well oiled hamburger press, forming a uniform patty. Repeat to make 5 more patties. In a large skillet, brown the patties slowly in butter for about 5 minutes or until golden brown on each side.
