Make Your own Homemade Laundry Detergent

You use way less than you would of your normal store bought detergent.Unknown Source

pinch tips: How to Season and Care for a Cast Iron Skillet

2 cups arm and hammer washing soda
2 cups of 20 mule team borax powderyou can find these items at wal mart
2 bars of fels naptha bar soap, in the laundry aisle
2 gallon size bucket

Directions Step-By-Step

You’ll shred the Fels Naptha bar into little flakes. Best way I found to do this is with a cheese grater. My sister in law uses a potato peeler.
Mix it all together and you're ready. You use about 1 to 2 Tbsp. per load. It has a really nice smell, too. I stored my mix in an airtight container to start out but now I just leave the lid off because it gives the whole laundry room a nice smell.
