A Mind Jar is a meditation tool to use whenever a child feels stressed, overwhelmed or upset. Imagine the glitter as your thoughts. When you shake the jar, imagine your head full of whirling thoughts, then watch them slowly settle while you calm down.

Also great for just quieting your mind

Pinched from "better gnomes and cauldrons"

Ingredients

mason jar or baby food jar. any kind of watertight jar will work. * plastic jars for children who throw or drop things*
hot water
food coloring
glitter
glitter glue

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Mix 1 tablespoon of glitter-glue with about 1 cup of hot water

Then add food coloring and a tiny tub of glitter.

Tighten or glue lid back on tight.
2
The glue makes the water so thick and gooey that the glitter just slowly and gently swirls around, it takes about 5 minutes for all the glitter to settle, perfect to gather your thoughts!

Eric is a list maker and he is systematic about using it. On the other hand I will make a list and leave it at home.

Well I went to town and forgot to get my glitter and glue. I've got my jar all ready and will get the rest soon.
