Marcia's Notes:

I always have a supply of medium binder clips around because I use them to hold my wide neck laundry on hangers and to close up plastic bags in the freezer. And now two of them make a perfect recipe card holder.

I've also included some other uses that I found on the internet and wanted to remember.

Directions

Clothes hanger clip -- thickness of the hanger does not matter -- the clip will fit them all whether they are fat or thin

Freezer Bag Clip -- and they are never bothered by the cold. Works every time and over and over with no breakage at all. When the bag is empty I place the clip on the edge of the dish drainer so I don't lose track of them for the next time.

Wire Holder/Organizer -- not only does it organize tiny wires (like ear buds or USB cords) but you can also hang it on a tack to keep it in its place

Sock holder -- nobody buys clothes pins anymore so binder clips take over the small jobs they used to do

Can be used as an additional clamp when gluing papers together

Place Card Holder -- decorated to match your theme of course!

Emergency Skirt Repairs -- can actually be worn on the body in a pinch, so to speak, LOL -- until you can get things fixed permanently

Wrapping Paper and Ribbon organizers

Phone Dock -- Clip both ends of a business card and stand it up -- then slip in the slim phone and you are good to go hands free

Emergency cuff links -- must use small ones for this, medium's are too big

Pen or pencil "roll guard" -- light weight, too

I didn't think about using them as a stand. I use one to clip my recipes onto a cabinet door handle, that way it is off the counter so I have space to work.

I will definitely use these ideas with this drawer of binder clips!! I'm always using them to keep the cookies and chip bags closed...but thanks for the new ideas!!
