Bea's notes for this recipe:
I saw this on FB and decided to give it a whirl since I detest the smell of Febreze. This really smells good and works like a charm and I wanted to share it with you.

Directions

Using a funnel, pour Downy* in a 27 oz spray bottle. I use an old Febreze bottle. Add in the baking soda and fill with hot tap water. Screw sprayer top on tightly and shake til mixed.

NOTE: *You can use your favorite liquid fabric softener rather than Downy.

I am a professional costumer. We use a combination of water and cheap vodka. I can spray it directly on actors costumes in a mister. The alcohol acts as a disinfectant, and evaporatesd during the night. It takes away the smell of sweat as it evaporates. It doesn't hurt the clothes.Just remember to use a fine mister and don't get the clothes wet.
