Ever wonder what to do with the leftover lipstics down in the tube that you cannot use? Wonder no more, with 1 stub of lip stick you can make 4 different shades of one tint of lipstick, and have 4 gifts for that one granddaughter or several pots of the same color for several people.

Ingredients For lip gloss, homemade

  • 3 tsp
    beeswax pellets
  • 5 tsp
    sunflower or coconut oil
  • 1/8 tsp
    vitamin e oil
  • 4-10
    drops essential oil or candy flavorings
  • the nub of a used lipstick

How To Make lip gloss, homemade

    Scrape out the nub of the lipstic. Place all ingredients either in a small pot or microwaveable bowl. Melt all ingredients slowly and then pour into lip gloss pots and set aside and let cool.

    to make 4 different shades of the same color: Melt all ingredients together and start with just 2 drops of oil/flavoring and 1/4 of the lipstick. Once melted, fill first lip gloss pot. Then add another fourth of the lipstick nub and 2 more drops of scent/flavor and pour another pot. Then add another fourth of the lipstick and 2 more drops and fill a pot. Then the final fourth and 2 more drops of scent/flavor.

    You can mix colors together or leave it plain. You can use flavor or just scent. It is a way to get the tint of that special lipstick and hang onto it a few more days.
