Ingredients For thanksgiving subs

  • 18 slice
deli turkey or equivalent in turkey leftovers
  • 6
    sub rolls
  • 1 box
    stuffing mix
  • 12 slice
    provolone cheese
  • 2 pkg
    turkey gravy mix

How To Make thanksgiving subs

  • 1
Preheat broiler. Prepare stuffing mix per instructions on the box.
  • 2
Slice open sub rolls and arrange on a baking sheet open faced. Lay three slices of deli turkey or leftover turkey on each roll, covering the entire open sub roll.
  • 3
Spread a scoop of stuffing over each turkey sub. One box of stuffing should be enough to cover all six subs with none left over.
  • 4
Cover each sub with two slices of Provolone cheese.
  • 5
Place baking sheet into broiler just long enough to melt the cheese and toast the buns a bit. In my broiler it only took about 3 minutes.
  • 6
While subs were melting in the broiler I started the gravy, preparing it per the instructions on the packet. We made two packs because we like a lot of gravy. If you don't want as much, you can make one packet.
  • 7
When the cheese is all melted and and the rolls lightly toasted, remove from oven, take a sub off of the tray and put on a plate. Then pour gravy over entire sub.
  • 8
Enjoy! We had our open faced subs with cranberry sauce to help enhance the Thanksgiving feel.
