One of my goals at JAP is to create enough “Master” and “Essential” recipes that I could use them to create other recipes.

This is a simple recipe to assemble, and so yummy.

Serve with some coleslaw, French fries, or just on its own.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

PLAN/PURCHASE

1 medium
catfish filet, more on this later
2 medium
french bâtard, or other crusty bread
3 Tbsp
dressing, more on that later
1/2 medium
ripe tomato sliced
lettuce, chopped, for garnish
salt, kosher variety, to taste
black pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

1
PREP/PREPARE
2
Gather your Ingredients.
3
Slice the bread open, and spread some dressing on both cut sides.
4
Chef’s Note: The dressing should be something that you like. For example, you could take some mayo, and add some Dijon and cayenne. Have some fun and play with it. I do have a recommendation for a good sauce at the bottom of the recipe.
5
Add a bed of lettuce to the bottom of the cut roll.
6
Place the catfish on top (recipe recommendation at the bottom of the recipe).
7
Put some nice fresh tomatoes on top, and season with a bit of salt and pepper.
8
Top with the other half of the bun, cut and half, and serve. Enjoy.
9
Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
