Toni's BBQ pork

I call this Toni's BBQ pork because I got it from my friend, Toni. It's so easy and it's delicious! It's great as a pork roast for a main course or making BBQ pork sandwiches...it works really well as sandwiches if you're having a lot of people or taking potluck.

Ingredients

1
pork loin, boneless (3 lb to 5+ lb)
1 bottle
sweet baby ray's barbecue sauce (small)
1 can(s)
cherry pie filling or apple pie filling
1
onion

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2Peel onion and cut in half.
3Place roast in roasting pan. Put onion on top of roast. Pour BBQ sauce and pie filling over the roast/onion. Place in oven for 3 hours.
4I have used a slow cooker for this and it works great cooked that way, too.
5Serve with roasted redskin potatoes and vegetable and/or salad. Even the young kids loved it!
