Lillian's Notes:

This has now become my new 'go to' pulled pork recipe! Its got a perfect sweet and smokey flavor! This sandwich even tastes great cold! Thats the way I ate it for lunch today! I found this recipe on the internet, but I'm posting it with my changes. The photo is my own.

Directions

1
Place half of the sliced onions and all the garlic, on the bottom of the crockpot.
2
Season the pork on all sides with salt and pepper. Place it ontop of the onions in the crockpot.
3
Add the other half of the sliced onions ontop of the pork.
4
Mix the ginger ale and liquid smoke together and pour over the pork. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours. Then turn the pork over and cook on high for another 3 hours.
5
Then remove pork and drain off all the liquid from the crockpot, leaving the onions. Shred the pork and remove all the lumps of fat from the meat.
6
Return the shredded pork to the crockpot with the onions. Stir in 18 ozs. of barbecue sauce. Cook on high for 1 - 2 more hours.
7
Serve warm on kaiser rolls.

This pulled pork freezes very well and this recipe easily doubles!

baby rays is my go to sauce!!! There is one I like a lil better made locally here, but hard to find and cost a fortune to order it, because of shipping.
This recipe sounds sooooooo yummy Lillian! Love pulled pork!!! I love the ginger ale aspect of it. When my brother makes pulled pork he uses 7 up or sprite. But I think the ginger ale would give it just a little bit of yum factor. Thanks Lillian!
