Ingredients

medium or large cabbage leaves
1 lb
ground beef
1 lb
ground pork
1 1/3 c
hot prepared minute rice

eggs slightly beaten
2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
chopped onion
1 c
milk
1/2 c
barbecue sauce
1/4 c
butter
1/2 c
barbecue sauce
1 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

Boil cabbage leaves in salted water for about 3 minutes, drain, combine beef, pork, rice, eggs, salt, onion, milk and 1/2 C. sauce, mix well. Place 1/2 C. meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf, fold over sides and ends of leaves, secure with wooden picks. Saute in butter about 5 minutes or until golden on both sides. Add 1/2 C. sauce and water. Cook, covered, 40 minutes, basting twice. Then cook uncovered 5 minutes longer. For 1 1/3 C. hot prepared rice, prepare 2/3 C. rice according to pkg. directions.
