Prep:

Cook:

1 Hr 20 Min

Ingredients

3 1/2 - 4 lb
country ribs
1 1/2 c
water
1 medium
onion, sliced
1 Tbsp
vinegar

SAUCE

1 c
ketchup
1/2 c
onion, chopped small
4 clove
garlic, minced
1 Tbsp
sriracha hot chili sauce
2 tsp
brown sugar
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/4 c
water
a couple pinches red pepper flakes ( optional)

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In a dutch oven, combine ribs, water, onion and vinegar; bring to a boil.

I cut my ribs in half. You can leave them whole.

Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, turning ribs occasionally.
2
Drain.
3
Place ribs in a single layer in an ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish, or I used my 4 quart casserole dish.
4
Combine sauce ingredients.

If the sauce is too thick to your liking..add a bit more water to thin..we like it thick..
5
Spoon over ribs. Cover and bake at 325 degree F. for approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes or until the meat is fork tender.
6
I remove the lid the last 20 minutes. If needs more water add a small amount, just to keep from burning..

** A note..the onions will still have a slight crunchiness..if you don't like that..saute the onion and garlic for a few minutes before adding to the sauce..my family likes the onion the way they are.
