This is my mamas recipe... it has always been a "must have" side at all of our BBQs! Goes very well alongside potato salad too! The sausage gives it such a great flavor! If you try this recipe, you'll never wanna go back to "plain" baked beans!

Sausage gives these baked beans a wonderful extra punch of flavor. With just the right amount of sweetness, these will be a great addition to your cookouts. They'd be great for a potluck too.


2 can(s)
(large cans) Bush's Baked Beans...any flavor you like...I use southern style
onion, chopped fine
small bell pepper, chopped fine
1/2 c
light brown sugar
1/4 c
1 Tbsp
yellow mustard
1 lb
(roll) Jimmy Dean sausage

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook sausage, onions and bell pepper together in a large skillet. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine both cans of beans, brown sugar, ketchup and mustard together. Mix well. Add drained sausage to beans and transfer all into a greased 9x13 casserole dish. Bake at 350 for about 30 min.
