1Melt butter in a large skillet. Add rice only from mix and stir until browned. Add seasoning packet, water as directed on the box. Stir to incorporate.
2When mixture begins to boil, add water less liquid from canned tomatoes. I usually put the juice from the tomatoes in a measuring cup then add enough water to what the package calls for. You must lessen the amount of water to accommodate the juice from the tomatoes. Add tomatoes and sausages. Stir to combine. Cook according to directions on rice mix package.
3When done stir to combine again. Let sit for about 10 minutes before serving. Any remaining liquid will be absorbed.
