Ingredients

3 lb
pork spare ribs
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 can(s)
8 oz, tomatoes, cut up
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp
caraway seeds
1 can(s)
1lb / 8oz sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 large
unpared, tart apple, thinly sliced
1 large
onion, cut into wedges

Step-By-Step

1Cut spare ribs into pieces to fit crock pot. Season with salt and pepper.
Brown ribs in large skillet.
2Place ribs in bottom of cooker.
3Combine tomatoes, brown sugar, and caraway seed. Stir in sauerkraut,apple, and onion.
Place mixture on top of meat in cooker.
4Cover and cook on low heat setting for 6 1/2 to 8 hours.
