Directions
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.Make four good-sized hamburger patties, nice and round and thick. Top w/ single slice of sharp cheddar cheese (this is optional, if you don't want cheese).Wrap each beef pattie in bacon strips, making a basket weave as you go. Cover entire pattie.Next, take the hot dog halves and make turtles' legs, head and tail. Cut the one for the tail at a diagonal on the end, so the tail looks "pointed". In the legs, put a few tiny 'slits' in the ends, so they will look like feet w/ claws after they bake.Line a baking sheet (with sides on it!) with foil, and place a baking rack over the foil. Arrange your "turtles" on the baking rack.Cook for 30 - 40 mins., in your pre-heated oven.
A little crispy, not too crunchy ... just the way a turtle ought to be, right?

Thought the turtles were real turtles??? hahaha! That's cute.
Yep, I thought they were cute as heck. Hope I don't get my hand slapped by anyone for using this recipe, since it's not mine, and I can't cite the owner, since I don't know. I just thought they were too cute not to share! haha!

Around here nothing is off limits! LOL Squirrel, possum, rabbits...etc. But I think I need more coffee this morning to open my eyes a little better. LOL I think you're safe because you clearly stated this is not your recipe and not claiming it for your own.

I started to post this in Pet Corner, Stormy, and then thought, "Wait ... if someone owns a pet turtle, they might not like this!" haha! I also thought it was a group just for recipes that are made for pets to eat ... wouldn't want someone to get the idea that this recipe is to be made for their pets to eat. haha!
