Red Stew

Susan Taylor

This was a favorite of ours growing up.... My mom was a child of the depression and her mom made this when she was a child. Mom often made this to take along on our first night out on a camping trip. It was hot when we left home in mom's heavy Stew pan. Once we were at the camp sight and dad met up with us from work we set up camp. Mom got the camp stove set up and re-heated this in just a few minutes and we were ready for supper our first night out once the Tent was up and sleeping bags unloaded into the tent.... It is also yummy on a cold winter evening...
