This is a tasty stew with sausage and sauerkraut that is made in the crockpot. Often times, I make this dish with leftovers from the night before. From the Fix-It and Forget-It cookbook.

Ingredients For polish sausage stew

  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup (10 3/4-oz)
  • 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 27 oz
    sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 1/2 lb
    polish sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces and browned
  • 4 md
    potatoes, cubed
  • 1 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 c
    shredded monterey jack cheese (4 ounces)

How To Make polish sausage stew

  • 1
    Combine soup, sugar, and sauerkraut. Stir in sausage, potatoes, and onions.

    Cover. Cook on Low 8 hours, or on High 4 hours.

    Stir in cheese and serve.
