Sandwich of the Week challenge was to create a sandwich using ingredient only starting with the letters M-O-T-H-E-R-S-D-A-Y. We could only have 10 ingredients.

Even though I learned a lot from my mother about cooking (after I was on my own). I didn't learn a whole lot about making sandwiches until I joined Sherri's sammie group here on JAP. My inspiration comes from all you awesome cooks in this group! My mother made sandwiches but she never dressed them up like we do here in the "Sandwiches, Sammiches, Sammies" group!

Mom this sammie's for you! RIP

Sharon, I sent directly to company to get mine and it's really good...they have one particular seasoning blend that says for fish or's got a little heat to it but not overpowering...
They also have one that is 1/3 less sodium, that's the one I use most...
Walmart carries a few of them up here, but not many...

You could use the regular seasoned salt but the Everglades is unique. I know it's hard to find but I'm sold on it. I used Lawry's all the time and still use it but I prefer the Everglades.

Thanks Diane. I just read the history--interesting. How unique is the flavor? Or, could I use regular seasoned salt, like Lawry's?

Thanks Sharon! The Everglades Seasoning is an all purpose seasoning. It has a very unique taste compared to other seasonings. It's not available everyone from what I'm hearing from others. Here's a link to order if you are interested: and another link to the history of this seasoning:
