  Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  Position wire racks on 2 baking sheets.

  Lay baon in a single layer on the racks & bake 7 minutes.

  Brush with maple syrup & continue baking until caramelized, about 25 minutes, flipping & brushing with syrup & seasoning with pepper every 5 minutes.

  Let cool on racks 5 minutes before serving.
