My family really loves this recipe, it is a more affordable version of lasagne. Lean ground turkey may be substituted for ground beef and colby/jack and mild cheddar can be substitued for fiesta or casserole blend cheeses. I often will fix this for large family gathering because it is quick and affordable and it goes a long way to feed large crowds. Usually I don't have much if any left afterwards. This dish is great served with garlic bread and a green salad.
Cook ravioli according to package directions, drain well
brown ground beef, add cut up smoked sausage half way through cooking. when ground beef is fully cooked, drain off excess grease
add spaghetti sauce to drained meat mixture, cover and simmer for 15 minutes until completely heated through
spray a 13 X 9 pan with cooking spray, add drained ravioli to pan, cover ravioli with 2 cups of shredded cheese, pour meat sauce over cheese and ravioli, cover with remaining 2 cups of cheese, cover with foil, bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes
remove foil and continue baking for additional 15-20 minutes or until cheese is completely melted and lightly browned
serve with garlic bread slices or breadsticks. Enjoy!!!
