Donna's Sausage and Gravy over Biscuits

- ( 12 oz ) maple flavored sausage

- whole milk
- salt and pepper to taste
1Place sausage in a deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown and crumbly, remove the sausage from the pan and set aside.
2With the dripping from the sausage in the pan stir in butter, until melted. Add flour, and stir until smooth. Reduce heat to medium, and cook until light brown.
3Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper stir in the sausage. Reduce heat and simmer about 10 minutes. If gravy becomes too thick stir in a little more milk.
4Place biscuits on a plate, cover with sausage gravy and enjoy.
