Directions
Rinse pork tenderloin and place in crock pot.Place baby carrots around the pork and pour bottle of Dr. Pepper over top. Sprinkle seasonings (to your taste) on top. Cover cook on high for 5-6 hours. DO NOT BASTE THE PORK DURING COOKING.This pork is delicious served with mashed potatoes or white rice on the side. The carrots come out tasting like candied carrots...and EVERYTHING is so tender!
NOTE: Do not add potatoes to this crock pot recipe. This recipe can also become shredded pork by cooking it for an extra hour.

I fixed this and it was absolutely wonderful!!! I did add some very thinly sliced onions and 2 cloves of garlic with the carrots instead of using the salts. I browned the loin on all sides on the stove top in a little olive oil then cooked in a dutch oven @325 for 2 1/2 hours and everything was tender and juicy. After I removed the pork and vegetables, I used 2Tbl. flour to thicken the cooking juices and it made an excellent gravy for the meat. This was a big hit with my family and I will definitely be making again. I think I will try it in the crockpot and then shred for sandwiches for SuperBowl Sunday.

This also works well with pre cooked ham and coke, I have been doing this for years with ham and my kids call it dirty ham (because the front part of the ham without the skin turns dark from the coke or dr.pepper). Its a big hit at work when I take it for ham and biscuit breakfast events.
