Bow Tie Pasta with Creamy Sausage Sause

Hannah Bishop

My kids & I love this recipe! It is easy to make and is great with a loaf of garlic bread. The leftovers always get eaten (because like spaghetti, the sauce seems so much better the next day)

12 oz
bow tie pasta
3 clove
garlic, minced
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 lb
italian sausage, mild
1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
1/2 c
onion, diced
28 oz
canned plum tomatoes, drained & coarsely chopped
1 1/2 c
heavy cream
3 Tbsp
fresh parsley, minced
1/2 tsp

1Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes; drain.
2Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage and pepper flakes until sausage is evenly brown. Stir in onion and garlic and cook until onion is tender. Stir in tomatoes, cream, and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens, about 8 to 10 minutes.
3Stir cooked pasta into sauce and heat through. Sprinkle with parsley.
