This recipe came from a Marlboro cookbook and is just wonderful. It is very easy yet will taste amazing. Each time I make it I am asked for the recipe. This is a can’t-fail dish for backyard cookouts, tailgate parties, etc. The picture is from the internet because the last time I made this was at a bar-b-que and I didn't get a chance to get pictures before the group got to it.


1 lb
smoked sausage, cut into bite-size chunks
jalapeno peppers, sliced
green belll pepper, cut into bite-size chunks
1 medium
sweet onion, cut into bite-size chunks
foil cooking bag
1/4 c
tabasco sauce
1 jar(s)
(10 oz) sweet & sour sauce

Directions Step-By-Step

Place sausage, peppers and onion in foil bag.
In a small bowl, mix the Tabasco and sweet & sour sauce and pour over mixture in foil bag.
Fold the edge tightly to seal.
Place the foil bag on the grill and cook for 45 minutes. Turn every 15 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Slit open and serve out of the bag.

RS, I'm so glad you tried it and liked it. It is so easy to adjust to suit your own tastes. I like it because it is so simple and can be made in the oven while you do other dishes. Enjoy!!!

I made this last week and did, in fact, do it in the oven. 350 for about 45 minutes. I did not brown the sausage first, did add mushrooms and had to cut back on the Tabasco sauce. It was wonderful and DH and family have requested it again.

In an earlier comment it said to cook at 350 for 45 mins. This is how I make it and it seems to turn out fine. I always brown the sausage first Thanks again Jeanne for posting this recipe.
