Skillet Ground Beef & Pasta Casserole

This recipe was created one day when I was tired and didn't want to go to the store to get items for supper. I had to use what was in the pantry and in the refrigerator. My family loved it and it was very quick and easy to make.

1 medium
onion, minced
1-2 clove
garlic, minced
1 lb
lean ground beef
1 jar(s)
spaghetti sauce
1/2 pkg
elbow macaroni, cooked
mozzarella cheese, shredded
cheddar cheese, shredded

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in skillet until no pink is visible. Drain any fat. Add spaghetti sauce, let simmer approxiamtely 25-30 minutes.
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and return to same pot. Add small to medium amount of mozzarella to pasta and stir to incorporate. Add to ground beef mixture.
Divide individule portions into bowls. Sprinkle small to medium amount of cheddar cheese on top. Let stand a few seconds for cheese to melt. If not completely melted, stick in the microwave 10-15 seconds until melted.
