parmesan cheese, grated (more if desired)
Prepare fettuccine according to package directions.
In a small sauce pan slowly warm heavy cream and butter until butter is melted.
Once butter has melted gradually stir in the cheese, stirring constantly. Be careful not to add too much cheese at once to prevent clumping.
Stir salt and pepper into sauce, and toss with cooked pasta. Serve hot.
