1 boxelbow macaroni

2 Tbspolive oil, extra virgin

1 lgonion, diced

8 ozbutton mushrooms, sliced

4 clovegarlic, minced

2 lbbulk italian sausage

1bay leaf
-
2 tspitalian seasoning
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1/4 call purpose flour
-
2 cmilk
-
2 1/2 cpizza sauce
-
1 stickbutter, room temperature
-
16 ozwhite cheddar, shredded
-
8 ozcream cheese, room temperature
-
8 ozmozzarella cheese, shredded
How To Make pizza mac & cheese

1Cook the pasta to al dente according to the package directions; drain & set aside.

2Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add the onion & mushrooms & cook until softened but not browned, 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic & sausage, increase heat up to medium-high & cook until the sausage is browned, 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up the meat.

3Decrease heat down to medium, add the bay leaf, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper & flour & cook 1 minute. Stir in the milk, pizza sauce & butter & cook 2 minutes; add the cheeses & stir constantly until it comes to a simmer. Add the pasta noodles & cook until warmed, 1 minute.
