Ingredients

2 can(s) marinara sauce
1 lb mozzarella cheese ( shredded )
1 1/2 lb ground chuck, cooked
1 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp italian seasoning
1 lb ziti, cooked
1/2 c italian bread crumbs
1 1/2 c ricotta cheese
2 tsp olive oil

I Got This Recipe From My Daughter Grandmother . She Makes her sauce From Scratch Being Italian She Can Do That . But I Tweeked Her Recipe and Added Some stuff To make One Delicious baked Ziti ...Yummy

 

Directions

Boil Pasta Follow Instructions On Box ( Set Aside )

Cook Up Your Meat And The Drain Access Fat . (Set Aside)

Start Sauce By Heating Minced Garlic In Pan W/ 2 teaspoons of olive oil .

Pour in Sauce And Add In Italian Seasonings

Let Simmer For About 10 mins

Heat Oven To 350

In A Large Mixing Bowl Combine
Meat , Pasta , Ricotta Cheese & 1/2 lb Of Mozzarella Cheese . Mix Well

Then add In Half Of Your Sauce Mixture . Mix Well And Pour Into Your Pan .

Use The Remainder Of The Mozzarella Cheese To Cover Your Pasta . Add Bread Crumbs For a Great Cheesy Crunch To The Dish

Cook For 1hr to 1hr and 45 mins depending on your over or until the cheese has formed a nice caramel brown color to it . Remove from oven let cool . Prepare Your Salads And Or garlic Bread And Enjoy with A Great Glass Of Red Wine ... Or a Nice Cold Glass Of Southern Tea

Ooohhh I LOVE baked ziti! Reminds of my Boston days .. where this was a Sunday staple. Looking forward to trying your version. Looks nice and easy (just the way I like it;-)

Tiara-fixed this last night for supper, but it came no where near looking like your picture. There's only two of us, so cut everything in half. This doesn't always work and I found my dish to be on the dry side. Will keep working on it, tho, as this is one of my favorite comfort foods.
