2 lb lean ground beef
2 can(s) 16 oz. each, chow mein vegetables, drained
1 can(s) 16 oz. tomato sauce
1 jar(s) 8 oz. sweet 'n' sour sauce
1/4 c brown sugar
hot cooked linguine

I'VE HAD THIS RECIPE SO LONG THAT I HAVE FORGOTTEN WHERE IT CAME FROM. THIS IS A VERY TASTY DISH & I'M SURE YOU WILL ENJOY IT.

 

Directions

In large skillet, cook beef until browned.

Drain fat & add vegetables.

In a medium bowl, blend together tomato sauce, sweet 'n' sour sauce & brown sugar.

Add to meat mixture.

Cook over low heat until hot & bubbly, about 20 minutes.

Serve over linguine.

Judy, I make one very similar only I use a can of Campbell's tomato soup, undiluted instead of the tomato sauce..I will try the sauce the next time I make this- your are right this is a very old recipe- I don't remember where it came from either..LOL..thanks for sharing your recipe...hugs

Pat, thank you for posting the picture as I don't know how to do that. I like your idea of the tomato soup tho, will try that next time instead of the tomato sauce. Blessings!
