Ingredients For kugel

  • 1 - 12 oz pkg
    egg noodles, no-yolk variety
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 - 8 oz pkg
    sour cream, fat-free
  • 2 x lg
    eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 c
    light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    orange zest
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped, toasted
  • GARNISH:
  • cool whip free

How To Make kugel

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • 2
    Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Toss hot noodles with butter.

    In large bowl, blend sour cream, eggs, sugar, cinnamon & orange peel. Add noodles & pecans & toss well. Turn into greased 9" square baking pan. Cover & bake 35 minutes or until lightly golden.

    Serve with 2 tbsp (each serving) of cool whip free.
