Fettucine is used in our house instead of traditional spaghetti. More filling and better consistency in my opinion... Try this and see what you think! Variations are welcomed!

Ingredients

3/4 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
parmesan cheese, grated
1
onion, finely chopped
3
eggs
16 oz
crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 tsp
oregano
parsley
"just a pinch" of salt
"just a pinch" of pepper
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 c
mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 oz
fettuccine pasta

Step-By-Step

1Brown meat and onion in skillet.
2Stir in tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper.
3Bring to boil.
4Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for 20 minutes.
5Remove from heat and add mozzarella and 1/4 cup parmesan.
6Let stand 9-12 minutes.
7Meanwhile, cook fettucine.
8Beat eggs and stir in remaining parmesan, butter, parsley and garlic powder.
9Stir into hot noodles.
10Spoon onto tomato mixture.
11Cover and cook over low heat, 15 minutes or until set.
12Let stand 5 minutes.
13Turn out on round platter.
