Easy Beef Stroganoff

Very hearty dinner, just add a salad or Sauteed Green Beans and dinner is served!

Ingredients

1 lb
sirloin steak
8 oz
fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 small
onion, thinly sliced
3 Tbsp
teriyaki sauce or worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
thyme, dried
3 tsp
fllour
1 c
cold water
8 oz
sour cream
1 pkg
wide egg noodles
2 Tbsp
oil, divided
salt and pepper, to taste

Step-By-Step

1Boil egg noodles as directed on package to desired doneness.
2While noodles are cooking, slice sirloin into 1" thin strips. Heat 1 tbsp oil in large skillet, and add sirloin. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.
3Remove sirloin from pan, and add remaining 1 tbsp oil to pan. Saute onions and mushrooms until tender and onions are caramelized, abt 3 minutes. Add sirloin, teriyaki or Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt and pepper. Cook an additional 3 minutes.
4Mix flour in cold water and add to pan. Stir continuously until thickened. Remove from heat and add sour cream.
5Drain noodles and lightly drizzle with olive oil. Serve stroganoff over noodles.
