Cheddar Cheese Casserole

Our whole family loves this easy dinner from the moment my brother- in-law (a chef) introduced it. it was originally called "Coon Cheese Casserole", and called for Cracker Barrels extra sharp cheddar black label cheese. I use Seriously Sharp Hunters Cheese or other xx sharp cheddar. Always a huge hit at pot luck meals.

Ingredients

1 box
ziti with lines
1 lb
extra sharp cheddar cheese
1 lg. can(s)
v8 juice

Directions Step-By-Step

boil ziti al dente'

while ziti is cooking, slice cheddar cheese

in a large casserole dish, add a layer of ziti.

layer slices of cheese on top of ziti to cover.

continue making layers till the dish is full and there are no remaining ingredients.

pour V8 over the casserole until visible, reserving approx. 1 cup of juice

bake covered at 350 for 1 hour

* use reserved V8 juice when reheating leftovers.
