This recipe comes from a 2006 edition of Southern Living. It is wonderful! I used sharp Cheddar cheese as I could not find white Cheddar.

1

2 Tbsp

1 tsp
sugar
1
(16 ounce) package white cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c
shredded parmesan cheese
32

4 c

1 tsp

Step-By-Step

1Prepare macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.

4Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients; pour over macaroni mixture.

5Stir together remaining cracker crumbs, melted butter, and, if desired, pecans. Sprinkle evenly over macaroni mixture.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until golden brown and set. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
