The Perfect Chili

It's the perfect chili and that's because like most fabulous recipe creations out there it's from testing and using what you have on hand so on a cold afternoon I looked in my cabinets and refrigerator for what I had on hand and WOW WOW WOW that is all I have to say about that! :)

Ingredients

1 pkg
johnsonville mild italian sausage(out of the casing)
1 1/2 lb
ground turkey
2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 1/2 c
yellow onion chopped
1 1/2 c
red bell pepper chopped

chili pepper chopped (seeds removed)

jalapeno pepper chopped( seeds removed)
56 oz
canned crushed tomatoes
6 oz
can tomato paste
15 1/2 oz
can spicy chili beans
1/2 c
cilantro chopped

garlic cloves minced
1
envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 c
regular beer
8 oz
can crushed pineapple drained
1 tsp
cayenne pepper
1 tsp
crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp
ground cumin
1 tsp
paprika
1/4 c
chili powder
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
black pepper
3 c
sharp cheddar shredded cheese 2% reduced fat

Directions Step-By-Step

On medium high heat in a large deep pot add oil, sausage and ground turkey and cook until no longer pink about 8 minutes. Make sure to take a spoon and break the meat up into small pieces while it's cooking.

Next add remaining ingredients mix until well incorporated. Lower heat to low and cover and simmer 2 hours. while cooking mix chili every 15 minutes. Serve hot and top with shredded cheese.
