I would never eat pinto beans until I went to a cookout at my fiance's friends house and he made these beans with hamhocks and OMG I been eating them ever since so now I actually cook them at home and everyone loves them!!!
Fill the crock pot with the 4 cups of water them add the dry pinto beans, chhopped onion, and smoked ham hocks. Cook on low for about 4-6 hours and until ham hocks are tender then serve. You can serve this with yellow rice or by its self.
