Valeree's Notes:

I've been making this dish for my husband since we've been married for 25 years and he still loves it. It actually tastes better using the chicken flavored rice a roni rather than using beef flavored as the recipe already calls for ground beef anyway. You can also substitute one can of diced tomatoes with green chillis instead of using salsa.

Directions

1
In large skillet cook ground beef. While beef is cooking prepare rice-a-roni according to package directions.
2
When ground beef is done, drain. Add salsa, chopped peppers. you can also use 1 can diced tomatoes with green chillis instead of the salsa if desired. Heat on low to medium heat. Add onion soup mix and simmer on low for 15 minutes.
3
When rice-a-roni is done add to meat mixture. Mix ingredients well and simmer on low for 5 minutes.
