When the first hint of a chill in the air comes on my family looks forward to the first pot of football chili. It will warm you to your toes and don't worry about what to do with left overs because there won't be any :)

Stove Top

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef trimmings(hamburger will work)
2 can(s)
black beans, canned
2 can(s)
chili beans
2 can(s)
tomatoes and chiles
3/4 c
seasoning blend (pict sweet,frozen)
3 Tbsp
cumin
1/4 c
chili powder
5 slice
pickled jalapeno
1 1/2 tsp
salt and pepper or to taste
2 Tbsp
unsalted butter
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
2 can(s)
water
1 pkg
grated cheese, to sprinkle on each serving
1 pkg
fritos, family size bag to crush and top bowl of chili
1 large
onion, diced to add to individual servings to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

Sautee in dutch oven; pict sweet seasoning blend with butter set aside

In skillet brown and break up beef trimmings, drain and then place in dutch oven with sauteed vegetables plus diced jalepenos and garlic

Now add chili beans, black beans (drained and rinsed), tomatoes and chilies and and cans of water stir together

Add seasonings and bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for 1 hr or place in crock pot on high for 2 hrs then reduce to warm until ready to serve.

When serving add choices of add'l ingredients: grated cheese, diced onions and crushed fritos to each individual serving. There wil not be any left overs I assure you. Enjoy :)
