Butter one side of bread slices. Heat a large flat bottomed skillet and place in it as many slices of bread that will fit, buttered side down. Put 1 slice of cheese on each piece of bread and cover cheese with meat mixture. Place a second slice of bread, buttered side up, on top. When bottom is golden brown flip and grill top.
Serve warm with pickles, chips and a big glass of ice cold milk.
