This is how the Italians roll for St. Patricks day!
My son hates corn beef, what better way to change up a St. Patricks Day dinner.
In this dish You have your sweet, savory, and tart! Very good and easy!
Crockpot makes it easy for those get togethers. Serve with rolls for hoagies or serve with a side of potatoes.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


1-1 1/2
heads red cabbage (sliced chopped)
1 large
sliced green apple
1 large
sliced onion
italian sausage, sweet
1 c
apple juice
2 tsp
apple cider vinegar
salt and pepper
3-4 sprig(s)
fresh thyme

Directions Step-By-Step

First I brown my italian sausage with my sliced onions in tablespoon of butter, just till onions softened and sausage has nice brown sear.
Right in same pan add Juice, vinegar, salt and pepper and springs of thyme.Stir set off burner till ready for crockpot.
In crockpot set at low, place sliced cabbage then sliced apples.
Place sausage on top, pour all juices over. Cover and slow cook 6-8 hours.

When done remove springs of thyme.
Great to serve at parties with hoagie rolls. Or add Your potatoes for that italian St.Patties Day celebration!
